Valentine’s Day is right around the corner! Don’t miss this opportunity to bust out the tripod for an adorable Valentine’s photoshoot with your baby! In this post I’ll share with you everything that I used for this cute and simple love day photoshoot.
Valentine’s Photoshoot Supplies
This photoshoot requires minimal supplies for maximum cuteness. The star of the show will be your squishy shirtless baby and your favorite bright red lipstick. If you don’t already have a go-to shade, this Mac Matte lipstick in the color Red Rock is the BEST. I also incorporated Noah’s milestone signs into the photoshoot (two birds one stone opportunity here).
- Red Lipstick
- Red Roses (Trader Joes always had great deals on flowers)
- Baby Jeans (I would do a cute little ruffle bottom bloomer for a girl)
- Monthly Milestone sign
- Pink/Red dress (for you)

Valentine’s Photoshoot Steps
Step 1: Prepare the space. Find the spot in your house that has good lighting and set out all of your props (roses, milestone sign, etc). Now is a good time for you to put on that red lipstick mama! I do recommend choosing a time that your baby is typically happiest to take these photos, like right after nap time.
Step 2: Get your baby dressed and cover them in kisses! I only did three kiss marks to keep it simple, but feel free to cover all of those baby rolls in your kisses!
Step 3: Let the photoshoot begin! You can do solo shots of just your little one and then set up that tripod and get in there for some photos as well!
Step 4: Option here to take your monthly milestone pictures of little one. Noah was teething like crazy so we gave him the sign to chew on for these photos and it turned out so cute (if I do say so myself).

Happy Valentine’s Day
We had so much fun with this Valentine’s photoshoot and I hope you feel inspired to take your V-day photos with your little one now too!
