This homemade applesauce recipe tastes AMAZING and has no added sugar! All you need is four simple ingredients to make this delicious healthy snack. I make this applesauce almost every week for my baby, but it’s so good my husband and I find ourselves reaching for it as well. I’ll show you how to make this easy homemade applesauce recipe both in an instant pot and on the stovetop!
When it was time for my son to start eating solids, I did a TON of research on the best organic baby foods. I scoured the internet and grocery aisles for baby food without preservatives or added mystery ingredients without any luck. I decided right then that I would make my own baby food, starting with this easy homemade applesauce.
Homemade applesauce can be refrigerated for 7-10 days or frozen for up to 6 months.
Pro Tip: Make a big batch at the start of the week so you have applesauce prepped for the week/month. I like to save half of the batch in the refrigerator in glass jars or reusable pouches, and store the rest in the freezer. I tried several different versions and these are the BEST reusable pouches and glass food storage jars that I’ve found!
